Welcome to the page on our 1937 Ford. This vehicle has a long story. It started out in Youngstown, Ohio. It traveled to Iowa where a guy didn't do anything but buy parts, such as a complete exhaust, wiring harness, 350 Chevy engine, hidden hinge kit, ect. We found the car on the internet and were contacting the guy. We found out what he was asking for it and told him we would sleep on it. Later that week we called him up to tell him we would take it. He said that he had just sold it. But the guy who came to pick it up said that if he hadn't told him he would take it he wouldn't. We called up the purchaser and asked if he would be willing to sell it. He said yes. It turned out that he had driven right near our house when he had gone to visit his family for Christmas. We asked if he would be willing to come up and visit his family for New Year. He drove it up and delivered it to us.
After we got it to my grandparents` we worked on body work and put a couple of coats of primer on. We installed the hidden hinge kit which took a while, changed the crank-out windshield handle so it opened the vent, and did other various things. We just this winter took the body off the frame and started working on the frame. We welded some of the extra holes shut and put a coat of Rio Red on it. We have most recently been assembling the frame to get a complete rolling chassis. We are just about ready to start it up for the first time.
